Utah was No. nine on the list, with an average recent-grad salary of $43,010 and a "BlissScore" of 4.111 out of five.

The BlissScore was determined by evaluating work factors including relationships with coworkers, work environment, job resources, compensation, growth opportunities, company culture, company reputation, daily tasks and control over the work employees do on a daily basis.

The average salaries were adjusted by the cost of living in the cities.

The top three contenders for recent grads were Saint Louis; Memphis, Tenn.; and Houston.

Salt Lake City also is included on the list of top 10 fastest growing job markets in the US.
