A Salt Lake City man is facing rape and assault charges for allegedly biting his girlfriend and forcing her to have sex with him.
The 25-year-old man’s girlfriend was lying down with their three children to go to sleep on June 12, according to charges filed Wednesday in 3rd District Court. He told her he wanted sex, and when she said no, he allegedly held down her arms and bit her chest, arms and legs.

She told him to stop, but he still forced her into sex, charges state. The couple’s 3-year-old daughter woke up and ran for help, and the woman’s father called police to the home on the 400 East block of Debs Place (830 South.)
The 25-year-old was charged with rape, a first-degree felony, assault, a class B misdemeanor, and three counts of commission of domestic violence in the presence of a child, all class B misdemeanors.
