Civics Central: Downtown hotel study in SLC, speed limits in Bluffdale

Here’s your weekly roundup of what local city councils, school boards and other government entities are tackling during regularly scheduled meetings. All meetings are open to the public, and citizens are welcome to voice their opinions during designated times. If you do wish to speak at a particular meeting, you may need to sign up in advance.

Salt Lake County Council » Will consider retaining a consultant to study financing for a convention-center hotel in downtown Salt Lake City and real estate matters involving proposed new buildings for the Salt Lake Valley Health Department and the District Attorney’s Office; Tuesday, June 26, 1 p.m., Room 2003, North Building, County Government Center, 2001 S. State. Formal decisions involving those matters are expected at the council’s 4 p.m. meeting in the first floor council chambers.

Bountiful City Council » Will consider commercial site expansion for a parking lot for Kentson Car Company at 2450 S. 500 West and preliminary subdivision plat for Stone Creek Villas at 600 N. 400 East; Tuesday, June 26, 7 p.m., 790 S. 100 East, Bountiful. View the Bountiful agenda.
