Delta fire burns 5,000 acres

A fire that blackened 5,000 acres east of Delta was sparked Friday afternoon.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and multiple fire crews are working on the scene to contain the flames.

The Tribune will update with more information as it becomes available.
