A 44-year-old German man died Friday afternoon from injuries suffered in a collision near Moab.
About 3 p.m., Olaf Henry Gerhard Bortfeld, of Hude, Germany, was driving a 2011 Nissan Sentra on La Sal Mountain Loop Road when he attempted to turn left on to southbound Highway 191, the Utah Highway Patrol reported. Bortfeld turned into the path of a 2005 Ford F-350 traveling north on Highway 191.
The truck hit the Nissan on the driver's side door. Bortfeld suffered fatal injuries, UHP said.
