Coming on the heels of a cool weekend, sunny skies and warming temperatures were expected to dominate Monday across Utah.
In Salt Lake City, the National Weather Service predicted clear skies with the high topping out at 76 degrees. Tuesday was expected to be even warmer, with highs reaching the mid-80s.
In St. George, residents could expect highs of 95 on Monday. But by Wednesday, the weather service predicted it would be hot, with temperatures tipping just past the century mark.
Salt Lake City’s high on Monday was forecast at 76, while Tuesday’s mercury was expected to reach 85 degrees; Ogden can expect 76 and 84 degrees, respectively; Provo 78 and 87; Logan 73 and 80; Wendover 77 and 87; Duchesne 74 and 82; Cedar City 80 and 85; St. George 95 and 99; and Moab 85 and 91 degrees.
