Park City police are investigating an incident that left a 14-year-old girl pinned under a car in an apartment complex parking lot.
The Park Record reported Saturday that the girl was taken to Primary Children’s Medical Center in Salt Lake City suffering serious injuries after firefighters used an inflatable lift device to free her from the car Friday night.

The incident occurred at the Parkside Apartments about 6:45 p.m. after the girl reportedly jumped on the hood of the vehicle, which was being driven by a 16-year-old male acquaintance. When the car stopped abruptly, she rolled off the hood and was run over.
Police told the Park Record that it did not appear that drugs or alcohol were involved. The investigation is ongoing.
