An open circuit breaker has been blamed for an electrical outage that affected nearly 1,200 Rocky Mountain Power customers in Orem Thursday morning.
Rocky Mountain spokeswoman Margaret Ohler said the outage, within the 84097 ZIP code area of the Utah County city, began at 10:22 a.m.

Repair crews responded and thoroughly inspected transmission lines in the area. They then focused their attention on the circuit breaker, which had opened for reasons unknown.
The breaker was closed, electrical flow re-estalished and by 11:32 a.m. power was restored to all affected customers, Ohler said.
