Unified Police are looking for a woman in connection with an early-Thursday morning beer theft, police chase and the crash of the suspect's vehicle into a Holladay home's garage.

After the 4 a.m. report of a beer theft from a convenience store near 3900 South and 500 East, UPD officers spotted the suspect's Buick on Highland Drive and tried to pull it over. The suspect sped away, eventually lost control and crashed into the home near 1900 East and 4600 South.

A neighbor reportedly told police that the driver had broken into the basement of her home and begged her to hide her from police. Instead, the homeowner ordered her to leave and she did, fleeing the area on foot.

Police said they were looking for 28-year-old Allyson Vavro for questioning in the case and asked that anyone with information contact them at 801-743-7000.

Salt Lake County Sheriff's Department records show that an Allyson Francis Vavro, also 28, was booked into jail in April on suspicion of driving while under the influence.
