Civics Central: West Valley considers no-kill animal shelter plan

Here’s your weekly roundup of what local city councils, school boards and other government entities are tackling during regularly scheduled meetings. All meetings are open to the public, and citizens are welcome to voice their opinions during designated times. If you do wish to speak at a particular meeting, you may need to sign up in advance.

Alpine City Planning Commission • Will consider granting a conditional use permit for seasonal sales to Case Lot Fireworks and recommending approval to City Council of a site plan for a tent for firework sales in Mountainville Academy parking lot; Tuesday, June 5, 7 p.m, 20 N. Main, Alpine.

Draper City Council • Will follow up regarding feedback from Recreation Center Open House and discuss the $29 million bond election planned for June 26; Tuesday, June 5, 5:30 p.m., 1020 E. Pioneer Road, Draper.

Farmington City Council • Will consider amending an ordinance on location restrictions of outdoor fires within city limits; Tuesday, June 5, 7 p.m., 160 S. Main, Farmington. View the Farmington agenda.
