Shawn Grogan, one of six officers shot in an Ogden drug raid in January, was honored Thursday by the Air Force Thunderbirds demonstration squadron with a flight in an F-16.

Grogan's flight was part of the Thunderbirds' Hometown Hero Program.

Grogan was wounded during the drug raid along with four other officers of the Weber-Morgan Narcotics Strike Force. A sixth officer, Jared Francom, was killed.

The Thunderbirds arrived at Hill Air Force Base Thursday to prepare for the weekend's Warriors Over the Wasatch open house and air show at the base.

More information on the air show, which is free to the public, is available at http://www.hill.af.mil/warriorsoverthewasatch.
