Provo police would like a slice of pizza justice — and they are asking the public for help in getting it.

Police said Thursday they are looking for a car stolen from a pizza shop employee. The victim had parked his green and brown 2002 Mercury Sable four-door sedan, Utah license plate 758VMG, while he rushed to deliver the food to a home near 650 North and 500 West in Provo on Tuesday night.

When the driver returned, someone had purloined his pizza delivery vehicle. And to top it off, police say, the driver had made the mistake of leaving his car running while he handed off the pie.

One more thing: police say the stolen car's paint is peeling off both the front and rear bumpers.

It also might be redolent of cheese, pepperoni and fresh-baked crust.

Anyone who sees this vehicle to contact Provo police at 801-852-6210.
