Several people were hurt when an SUV driven by a teenage male collided head-on with a pickup truck Wednesday morning in St. George.
St. George police Sgt. Craig Harding said the accident occurred just before 7 a.m. at 1450 S. 2400 East, near the Stone Cliff housing community.

"The SUV with the teens was headed westbound but failed to negotiate a slow, easy turn, and went into eastbound traffic head-on into a red Ford pickup truck driven by a male in his mid-40s," Harding said.
Three teens, all believed to be students at Desert Hills High School, and the pickup’s driver reportedly were taken to the hospital, but their conditions were not immediately known.
Harding said the accident remained under investigation. He said there were no initial indications of drugs or alcohol being involved, though those factors would routinely be investigated along with possible distracted driving.
