A young cougar was captured by Provo police officers after he was found in a backyard eating dog food.

Police officials said the hungry cougar was found in the area of 700 E. Redford Drive on Sunday. A homeowner called police after they found the wild animal eating food out of his dog's kennel. Police were able to capture the animal, and have turned him over to Department of Natural Resources.
