Authorities Monday released the name of a Vernal woman killed over the weekend after the ATV she was driving flipped over in Ashley National Forest.
Utah State Parks officers said Janet Allen, 47, was riding the ATV with her 15-year-old daughter about 1 p.m. near the Iron Springs Campground near Vernal when it flipped over backward on a steep incline.

Allen, who was not wearing a helmet, was killed. Her daughter, who was wearing a helmet, was also injured, but was expected to recover.
