Utah's weather forecast for Friday called for balmy if breezy conditions along the Wasatch Front and temperatures trending toward hot in the southern reaches of the state.

The National Weather Service predicts high temperatures around 70 in northern Utah Friday, a dip of a couple degrees from Thursday's forecast, with winds in the 15-25 mph range expected under partly cloudy skies.

Southern Utah, meanwhile, expected highs in the low-90s Friday, down a few degrees from Thursday's forecast. The horizons to the south were expected to be mostly clear and sunny.

Air quality statewide was rated "Green," or good, by the Utah Division of Environmental Quality.

Salt Lake City expected a high temperature Friday of 71 degrees, down slightly from Thursday's forecast for 73; Ogden looked for 69 and 71 degrees, respectively; Provo 73 and 79; Logan 69 and 68; Wendover 70 and 74; Duchesne 73 and 80; Cedar City 77 and 82; St. George 77 and 82; St. George 92 and 95; and Moab 87 and 88 degrees.
