A family of seven was displaced after a Tuesday morning fire heavily damaged their mobile home in West Valley City.
Public safety dispatchers reported no injuries from the 9:42 a.m. blaze at 3065 S. Jamboree St. (5040 West).

West Valley City Fire Marshal Bob Fitzgerald said the fire was traced to an electrical box underneath the house, but investigators don’t know, specifically, what caused the blaze to spark. Fitzgerald estimated the damage at $10,000 to $15,000.
The Utah chapter of the American Red Cross was offering food, clothing and shelter assistance to the family of five adults and two children.
