Get ready for much warmer — though no longer record-setting — temperatures.
Saturday’s forecast high temperature of 57 degrees is still below the normal temperature of 64 degrees, said National Weather Service meteorologist Christine Kruse, but the predicted high will climb to 66 by Sunday.

By Monday, the mercury could jump to 76 degrees, though there is a chance of rain that night. As of Saturday, the state’s rain was above normal for the month, at 1.78 inches, but overall for the year it’s still just a bit below average, and well below last year’s wet spring.
That warming trend should continue throughout the coming week all over the state, hitting a high near 81 by Friday in Salt Lake City and near 93 in St. George. That’s well above the normal temperature of about 79 degrees there.
Unlike last week, however, the thermometers probably won’t shatter any more records, which start to get higher with the start of May, Kruse said.
