The annual Nihon Matsuri, or Japan festival, on Saturday in downtown Salt Lake City included taiko drums, a martial arts demonstration and kimono fashion show. This year's guest artist was Seizaburo Kubo, who plays Japanese flutes called the shakuhachi and shinobue. Other highlights of the street festival between 200 West and 300 West on 100 South also known as Japantown Street included an anime showcase, tea ceremony and Japanese food.
