An Ogden woman died Monday in a single-car rollover accident in Idaho.

Idaho state police say about 8:10 p.m., Shawn Sant, 47, was driving west on Interstate 84 near Nampa with his passenger, Wendy Hoff, 49, of Ogden.

Sant drove his 1998 Dodge Neon off the right side of the road and rolled.

Hoff was ejected from the car and died at the scene. Sant was taken to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise with minor injuries.

Police say neither was wearing a seat belt.

Alcohol, speed and distracted driving — Sant was possibly distracted by a small dog that was inside the car — were all contributing factors to the crash, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
