Egg hunters and bunnies in Utah were expected to have good weather Saturday as sunshine and warmer temperatures sweep across Utah.

The National Weather Service early Saturday increased its temperature prediction to a high of 60 degrees for Salt Lake City. St. George is expected to reach the upper 70s for its annual art festival and spring break revelry.

The Sunday forecast looks even better. Easter is supposed to be warmer while remaining sunny.

A wintry spring storm that walloped Utah Friday left nearly a foot of snow in northern Utah mountains. But it will do little to improve what was one of the area’s worst winters in terms of snowfall.

According to the National Weather Service, 2011-12 was the fourth-least snowy winter in history as measured at Salt Lake City International Airport. The airport station recorded just 24.8 inches of snow on the ground this year, including Friday’s dusting.
