A 20-year-old man was in critical condition after he was struck by a vehicle Wednesday in the intersection of 3300 South and Wasatch Drive.
Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal said a woman driving a Mitsubishi Montero was stopped about 11:40 a.m. at a traffic light. When the light turned green, witnesses reported she began accelerating to make a left turn onto 3300 South. At that same time, the man began running west across the street and was struck by the vehicle, Hoyal said.
