It may be months before authorities learn the cause of the death of a man whose body was found unclothed in a North Salt Lake train yard.

Autopsy results for 27-year-old Brandon Taylor are not expected for 8 to 10 weeks, said North Salt Lake police Sgt. Mitch Gwilliam. Taylor's body was spotted March 18 near train tracks close to 1800 North and Beck Street. There were no obvious signs of trauma on his body, which was covered with mud, Gwilliam said.

Officer's found Taylor's clothing near the scene the next day, Gwilliam said. He would not describe the exact location or how officers confirmed the clothes were Taylor's. He said the clothes were not damaged.

Investigators are treating the death as suspicious but aren't actively pursuing suspects, Gwilliam said. Taylor was found in a gated railroad right-of-way with just one access point.
