Three people, including an 11-year-old boy, were robbed at gunpoint late Friday night outside of a Rancherito restaurant.
The Salt Lake City Police Department reported that just before midnight on Friday evening, a 36-year-old man, a 34-year-old woman, and the boy had just bought food from the restaurant, located at 800 W. North Temple Street. Three suspects approached the victims, who had been sitting in their car, and one pointed a chrome pistol at the man, demanding money.

The boy gave the suspects some money after they pointed the gun at him, according to police. A brief struggle between the man and the suspects occurred, and the man was hit several times by the suspects before they left the area.The case is still being investigated, and no arrests have been made as of Monday, according to police.
