Parts of Bangerter Highway will be closed at 7800 South on Thursday and Friday nights to allow installation of bridge girders for a new overpass there.

The closures will begin at 10 p.m. each night, and they are scheduled to end at 6 a.m. the following days.

On Thursday night, double lane closures are scheduled for both northbound and southbound Bangerter Highway. East- and westbound traffic on 7800 South also will be closed, and traffic will be directed to temporary ThrU Turn intersections on Bangerter.

On Friday, March 9, northbound Bangerter will be closed to traffic and motorists must turn eastbound at 7800 South and follow posted detours. Southbound Bangerter traffic will be restricted to one through lane and one right turn lane only.

Also on Friday, eastbound and westbound traffic on 7800 South will also be closed, and traffic will be directed to temporary ThrU Turn intersections.
