A Ford truck was eastbound on Center Street at the time and began making a left-hand turn onto 900 West. The truck turned directly into the path of a Grand Cherokee traveling west on Center Street, the release states.
The Grand Cherokee T-boned the truck, sending it toward the sidewalk. Charrington’s friends were able to get out of the way, but the truck struck her, the release states.
Charrington was transported to Utah Valley Medical Hospital, where she died. The drivers of both vehicles also were taken to the hospital.
