Woman dies after truck hits tractor near Delta

A 51-year-old woman was killed Wednesday after her pickup truck collided with a tractor near Delta.

The Millard County Sheriff’s Office said Valinda Conk, of Deseret, was driving north on Lone Tree Road near 2500 South about 4 p.m. when she collided with the tractor driven by a 15-year-old, the sheriff’s office said.

Conk was transported by ambulance to Delta Hospital where she later died from her injuries, officials said. The teen was uninjured.

Authorities said their investigation was continuing Friday, but no charges had been filed. Deputies said charges would be screened with the Millard County Attorney’s Office at the conclusion of the investigation.
