The National Weather Service was predicting more rain and snow Thursday morning in the wake of a winter weather advisory issued Wednesday for central and southwestern Utah.
That advisory, affecting a section of the state stretching from Delta west to the Nevada border and south from Manti into Richfield, Milford, Escalante and Cedar City to just north of St. George, was set to expire 10 p.m. Wednesday. Snow totals were expected to range from an inch or two in the valleys to up to 5 inches in the mountains.

Residents of the Salt Lake and Tooele valleys also looked for a dusting of snow and rain, as did those living at elevations above 4,500 feet throughout southern Utah.
The Utah Avalanche Center rated Salt Lake City, Provo, the western Uintas and Moab at "orange" or considerable risk for dangerous snow slides, while the Logan and Ogden districts were rated "yellow" for moderate risk.
The Utah Division of Environmental Quality was flying a "green" or satisfactory air quality flag statewide through Friday.
Salt Lake City looked for a high temperature of 44 degrees Thursday, mirroring the forecast for Wednesday; Ogden expected 42s; Provo 45 and 44; Logan 40s; Wendover 43 and 42; Duchesne 42 and 41; Cedar City 43 and 39; St. George 58 and 52; and Moab 49 and 48 degrees.
