A free dental clinic for children who lack access to care was expected to last until 2 p.m. Saturday at the Greenwood Health Center, 7495 S. State St., Midvale.

Residents and faculty members of the University of Utah’s Department of Dental Education, along with volunteer dental professionals and Salt Lake Community College dental hygiene students, were to host the free clinic, according to a U. of U. news release.

By day’s end, the clinic was expected to see 60 children receiving dental care in all 12 chairs and the Greenwood Health Center. The children were pre-selected to receive care based on need, the release said.
