The wreckage of a small airplane was located late Friday morning in the mountains near the northeastern Utah town of Morgan. The pilot, Daleray Madewell, 47, and passenger Jennifer Sebeta, 35, both of Wyoming, died in the crash.
Utah Civil Air Patrol spokesman George Tudder said the crash site was spotted by a Utah Department of Public Safety helicopter, and Morgan County search and rescue units traveled to the site Friday afternoon.

The single-engine Cessna went down in Cottonwood Canyon, about six miles southwest of Morgan.
The plane had been reported overdue about 7 p.m. Thursday on a flight originating at the Mountain Green Airport and heading toward eastern Wyoming.
Bad weather prevented the Civil Air Patrol from putting its own aircraft up late Thursday.
