Teresa Blair Ellis, 29, and Brad Frantz, 24, arrived at Trolley Square together on a dinner date to celebrate a work bonus that Ellis had received. They also planned to do some Valentine’s Day shopping.

Both were shot and killed by Sulej-man Talovic. Frantz left behind a 3-year-old daughter.

Frantz’ mother, June Wangerin, said she could not talk about the tragedy at Trolley Square five years ago. She said she has been in ill health since the deaths of Frantz and Ellis.

"We lost two," she said of her son and Ellis.

Ellis worked at a bank in West Valley City. About a year before the shooting, she had separated from her husband of four years, Nathan Ellis.

Attempts to contact Ellis’ family in New York were unsuccessful.
