Utah ranks 10th in the nation for the rate of high school students who pass Advanced Placement (AP) exams, according to a report released Wednesday by the College Board.
Among the state’s 2011 graduates, 20.7 percent passed an AP exam, earning college credit. The College Board also named Davis, Nebo and Canyon school districts to the AP Honor Roll for both increased performance and participation on AP tests. In 2011, 18,508 Utah students took 29,851 AP exams, with a 68 percent pass rate.
