A Herriman 2-year-old died Monday after a cement truck collided with a passenger car in West Jordan.

The vehicles collided about 4:30 p.m. Monday on State Road 111 near 10200 South, West Jordan police said. The truck pushed the car "pretty far into a field" said Officer Ian Adams.

The 2-year-old was flown to Primary Children’s Medical Center, where she died, Adams said. Her mother was flown to University Hospital. She improved from critical to serious condition late Monday. A 7-month-old baby also in the car was not seriously injured.
