All meetings are open to the public, and citizens are welcome to voice their opinions during designated times. If you do wish to speak at a particular meeting, you may need to sign up in advance.

Utah Board of Water Resources
Takes public comment in St. George and Salt Lake City on the proposed Lake Powell pipeline and related noise, air quality and socioeconomic effects; Tuesday, Feb. 7, 8:30-11 a.m., at the Lexington Hotel and Conference Center, Sabra Room, 850 S. Bluff St., St. George; and Wednesday, Feb. 8, 8:30-11 a.m., 250 N. 1950 West, Suite B, Salt Lake City.
Salt Lake County Council
Will receive a report on the cultural core of downtown Salt Lake City from AMS Planning & Research and an overview on a needs-assessment survey conducted by the Division of Parks and Recreation; Tuesday, Feb. 7; the workshop meeting begins at 1 p.m. in Room 2003 of the North Building at 2001 S. State. At its formal meeting at 4 p.m., the council is expected to ratify the conveyance of 10 acres in Taylorsville back to the county from the LDS Church. The land had been used for playing fields no longer needed by the church and may be turned over to Taylorsville for a park.
Salt Lake City Council
Will consider, and possibly vote, on new boundaries for Salt Lake City Council and School Board seats; Tuesday, Feb. 7; work meeting begins at 2 p.m.; formal session starts at 7 p.m., City Council Chambers, Room 315, at City Hall, 451 S. State St.

West Valley City Council
At their study meeting beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 7, council members will discuss a request to give their "full support" to the use of the gas chamber for euthanasia at the city’s shelter and other procedures used by the Animal Services Division. At the regular meeting that follows at 6:30 p.m., they are slated to vote on an ordinance that would adjust the boundaries of all four council districts based on the latest census figures; City Hall, 3600 S. Constitution Blvd. (2700 West).
Centerville City Council
Holds a public hearing on a potential hunting ban within city limits. State regulations require that a municipality hold a hearing before submitting a hunting ban request to the State Wildlife Board; Tuesday, Feb. 7, 7 p.m. at City Hall, 250 N. Main.
Provo Municipal Council
Will discuss the update of its plans for downtown Provo when the Utah Valley Convention Center opens; Tuesday, Feb. 7; 4 p.m.; council chambers, 351 W. Center St., Provo.
