Salt Lake City police want the public’s help in bringing to justice a gunman who robbed a downtown convenience store earlier this week.

The suspect in the Wednesday afternoon holdup of the Maverik store at 310 S. 900 East approached the clerk at 3:21 p.m. with a black handgun and demanded cash from the register. The clerk complied and the suspect left, fleeing northbound from the store.
