A 4.3 magnitude earthquake rattled a remote region of northeastern Nevada’s desert and western Utah Wednesday morning, but no damage was reported.
The U.S. Geological Survey described the temblor, registered at 7:40 a.m. Mountain time, as shallow in nature. The epicenter was 14 miles southwest of Wells, Nevada, where a 6.0-magnitude quake had caused extensive property damage on Feb. 21, 2008.
