Feb. 18 » Australia’s Alisa Camplin wins gold in the women’s aerials by landing two almost flawless double back flips, and Germany’s Uschi Disl wins an unprecedented eighth Olympic biathlon medal when her team roars from behind to capture the relay. Ice dancers Gwendal Peizerat and Marina Anissina of France win the gold, with a Russian judge seeming to dispel allegations of a vote-swapping deal in the pairs controversy by voting against them.
