Feb. 10 » In the first glamour event of the Games, Austria’s Fritz Strobl upsets teammate Stephan Eberharter to win the men’s downhill. Switzerland’s Simon Ammann wins his first ski-jumping gold, while American Kelly Clark wins the women’s snowboarding halfpipe. Finland’s Samppa Lajunen wins the first of his three golds in Nordic combined.
