Granger students, together with the West Valley city police and fire departments, have organized the holiday dinner for the past eight years. But this year, the city was unable to contribute money and the event was canceled. Now the students have vowed to raise the necessary $4,000 on their own, according to a news release from the Granite School District.

All proceeds raised by the talent show will be used to cover the cost of the dinner.
