The 4th Annual Financial Fitness Fair — offering tips on smart money skills and programs that offer assistance — is set for Saturday, Feb. 4, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the West Valley City Family Fitness Center, 5415 West 3100 South.

The fair will promote awareness of the Earned Income Tax Credit, a refundable federal income tax credit for low-to moderate-income working individuals and families.

Information will also be provided on credit reports, housing and utility assistance, the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), Medicaid, Home Energy Assistance Target program (HEAT) and food stamps.

The event is sponsored by American Express, Community Action Partnership of Utah, the Growing Assets and Income Now (GAIN) coalition, United Way of Salt Lake, West Valley City and West Valley City Family Fitness Center
