McFarland’s brother, Logan Welles McFarland, is being held in the Elko County, Nev., jail after police in Nevada captured him and Angela Marie Hill, also known as Angela Atwood, after a two-state crime spree that police say included burglaries, car thefts and a high-speed chase.

Officials began searching for Logan McFarland and Hill after Leroy and Dorotha Fullwood, ages 70 and 69, were found dead Dec. 31 in their Mount Pleasant home.

The same night, according to charges filed in Elko County, Logan McFarland and Hill attempted to carjack a woman outside a West Wendover casino. During the attempted carjacking, Hill allegedly shot the woman in the head. The woman was able to drive herself to a hospital and survived.

Prosecutors in Nevada intend to try Hill, 25, and McFarland, 24, there before returning the two to Utah. The pair have been charged in Utah with burglary, but no charges have been filed in connection with the Fullwoods’ deaths.

Sanpete County Attorney Brody Keisel said Wednesday he had not yet received a final autopsy report and likely wouldn’t for at least two more weeks. Keisel said prosecutors are also looking at filing charges against one more person in the case.

"We don’t believe that the public is in any danger from the players in this," he added.

Also charged in connection with the case are:

• Allison Boudreaux, 45, who faces counts of burglary, obstructing justice, evidence tampering and weapons and drug possession. According to court documents, Boudreaux and Hill were involved in the burglary at a separate Mount Pleasant home late last month. A search warrant states that Boudreaux owned the home where Logan McFarland attended a party the night of the deaths. She also owned a Plymouth Breeze, which McFarland and Hill asked to borrow that night, the warrant states.
