A Salt Lake City woman and her boyfriend are facing theft charges after they allegedly stole from the woman’s grandparents.
The pair, ages 23 and 31, apparently took and pawned items worth a total of $4,160 while they lived with the grandparents, according to charges filed Wednesday in 3rd District Court.

The stuff included silverware, a barbecue set, a silver candle set, a silver serving platter, two necklaces and assorted tools, prosecutors allege. Police found the property on pawn shop lists, but it had apparently already been sold.
Police said the couple admitted to stealing. They were each charged with one count of third-degree felony theft.
