Romney in a squeaker. All eyes turn to New Hampshire. The who's who of Utah tax delinquents.

Happy Wednesday, Mitt Romney can say he won the Iowa Caucus, but just barely. He got 30,015 votes, while the surging Rick Santorum hauled in 30,007, only an 8 vote difference. Ron Paul came in third. [DMRegister] [NYTimes] [WaPost]

-> It was a late night of vote tallying, so without knowing the final outcome Romney took the stage and declared "America wins." [DNews]

Topping the news: The campaigns and the hoards of media now focus on New Hampshire, where The Trib's Thomas Burr sets the stage for what could be a one-sided race. [Trib]

-> Jon Huntsman may have modeled his campaign after that of Sen. John McCain and even hired many of his people, but the former nominee is prepared to endorse Romney. [CNN]

The Granite State: Huntsman will try to savor the spotlight in New Hampshire's first-in-the-nation primary by joining supporters at an early honk-and-wave in Concord before the rest of the GOP field shows up. But he'll likely be overshadowed quickly when Romney lands to hold a town hall in Manchester at 12:45 Eastern time.

Happy Birthday: to state Rep. Curt Oda and to the state of Utah, which entered the union on this date in 1896.

Spotted: Gov. Gary Herbert had some prime tickets to the Utah Jazz game last night. He sat with Jazz CEO Greg Miller.

In other news: State Sen. Dan Liljenquist plans to announce his long-anticipated campaign to unseat Sen. Orrin Hatch today. But Liljenquist also finds himself on the list of delinquent taxpayers in Salt Lake, Utah and Davis counties joining Huntsman Crop. and Intermountain Healthcare. [Trib]
