A Copper Hills High student remained in serious condition Wednesday, the day after he accidentally fell 20-25 feet from a second-story railing at the southwest Salt Lake County school.

Intermountain Medical Center spokesman Jess Gomez said Andrew Pritchett, a 15-year-old sophomore at the school (5445 Bingham Highway), was undergoing treatment for head injuries suffered when he apparently slipped while attempting a handstand on the railing about 3:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Pritchett initially had been listed in critical condition and was unconscious and bleeding when taken by medical helicopter from the scene.
