A teenager was critically injured in a drive-by shooting Sunday night at a Midvale apartment complex.
The teen was outside the Green Leaf Villa apartments, 7940 South Main Street (700 West) at about 8 p.m. when a silver Oldsmobile Alero pulled up and someone opened fire, said Unified Police Department spokesman Justin Hoyal.
The teen was shot multiple times, Hoyal said. He was rushed to a hospital. Police did not immediately know his identity Sunday night, but detectives believe the shooting is gang-related, Hoyal said.
"We have no idea how many people were involved, how many people were in the car, whether they were males or females," Hoyal said. "Detectives are trying to find more witnesses. There's very limited witness information right now."
