Thousands of customers in three Utah counties were without power for about two hours Wednesday morning.
More than 10,000 customers were without power in Utah, Sanpete and Juab counties.

Dave Eskelsen, spokesman for Rocky Mountain Power, said a problem at the Spanish Fork substation — a major connection point for other nearby cities — caused the outage.
Power was affected in southern Utah county, northern Sanpete county and parts of Juab County in the cities of Santaquin, Rocky Ridge, Moroni, Chester, Mt. Pleasant, Mapleton, Freedom, Fountain Green and Wales.
Power went out about 9 a.m. and was restored just after 11 a.m.
A cause of the outage was not immediately determined. Eskelsen said there was nothing to indicate the failure of the substation near the mouth of Spanish Fork Canyon was due to weather.
