A state website designed to help students and job seekers learn more about education, training and careers has 400,000 users after its first two years, the State Office of Education has announced.

Across Utah, about 274,000 students use UtahFutures.org regularly, according to a state office news release. The second largest group of users is job seekers enrolled in Utah Department of Workforce Services programs. UtahFutures.org got 4 million hits in September alone.

The free website includes free preparation for such tests as the ACT and GED; questionnaires designed to help guide users toward possible careers; information about training, pay and demand for different jobs; and a feature that lets students see how much it would cost to support different lifestyles, among other features.

Partners in offering the website include the state office, Vocational Rehabilitation and Adult Education, the Utah State Board of Regents, Higher Education Assistance Authority, the Utah State Library and Gear Up, a program for disadvantaged high school students.
