An 11-year-old boy was hit and killed on State Road 56 near Cedar City on Saturday in Iron County.
Utah Highway Patrol reported Zedekiah Steed was with a group of young men whose eastbound bus pulled over on the side of the road. Several of the boys went off to the south side of the road. Steed went in front of the bus and started to cross the road when an eastbound passenger car struck him, UHP reported. The boy was dead at the scene.
