Southern Utah University will host U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid for a fireside chat Sept. 1 with school President Michael T. Benson as part of the university's Convocations Lecture Series.
The event is free and open to the public and will be followed by a news conference, at which Reid, a Nevada Democrat and a 1959 SUU graduate, will make a special announcement.
The chat with Benson will take place at 2:30 p.m. in the Great Hall inside the Haze Hunter Conference Center at the Cedar City campus.
