A man with a history of sneaking into girls' locker rooms has been sentenced to up to five years in prison.

Brian Richard Lee, 47, was sentenced Tuesday in 2nd District Court on felony charges of burglary and lewdness for entering the locker room at Sand Ridge Junior High in April and disrobing.

A female coach saw Lee touching himself in the empty locker room and a male track coach chased down Lee as he tried to run away, charges state.

Police in Roy have said they first began dealing with Lee in 1992 and that lawmakers had Lee in mind when they changed the lewdness statute in 2009, allowing prosecutors to file felony charges against repeat offenders.

In 2008, Lee was sentenced to two years in jail for hiding behind a shower curtain in the Brighton High School locker room as girls changed for a dance performance.

A girl spotted Lee crouching behind the curtain and when another girl pulled open the curtain, Lee put a finger to his lips to quiet her then ran.

He had been previously convicted on at least four other occasions for similar peeping crimes.
